Cats on the
Guadalupe is our theme for the South Central Regional.
You are welcome to decorate accordingly.
It is the goal
of the club to thank the exhibitors for their continued
support of the club for the past 25 years with excellent
raffle gifts, superb food, great vendors, and wonderful
people like YOU!
Show
Hall: New Braunfels Civic Center, 320 South Seguin
St., New Braunfels, TX 78130. People food will be available
in the show hall.
Show
Hours: Check-in will be from 7:00 to 8:00 AM with
judging beginning at 8:30 AM on Saturday and 9 AM Sunday.
Advertised show hours will be 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Saturday
and Sunday. Please plan to remain in the show hall during
advertised show hours. Cats cannot remain in the show
hall overnight. However, cats may remain in the Show Hall
in cages only during the banquet Saturday night in case
you don't want to drive back to your motel to change clothes.
Show
Rules: TICA show rules will be strictly enforced.
By entering, exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions
of the judges and show committee. Official show rules,
registration information and forms may be obtained from
TICA, P.O.
Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551 or viewed on their website
at www.tica.org.
Payment:
By entering the show, you agree to pay all fees whether
you attend the show or not. A $25 charge will be assessed
for any returned checks. Entry fees are non-refundable.
On-line entries must be paid within 7 days from date of
entry. A $20 charge will be assessed for all entry payments
paid at door unless prior arrangements are made with entry
clerk.
Registration:
With the exception of cats competing in the Preliminary
New Breed, Advanced New Breed, and New Traits classes,
registration with TICA is not necessary to compete in
the cat's first show. However, to be scored for TICA titles
and regional / International awards, all cats must be
registered by their second show. Please contact TICA for
registration forms and information (TICA, P. O. Box 2684,
Harlingen, TX 78551).
Health:
This is a nonvetted show. Any cat showing signs
of illness, parasites or fungus will be escorted from
the show hall, along with any cats owned, housed or augmented
by the same exhibitor. All entries should be vaccinated
against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calici, distemper
(panleukopenia) and and at least 21 days prior to the
show, and should test negative for feline leukemia and
FIV (feline AIDS). Be prepared to show
proof of rabies vaccination. It is state law. TICA
show rules require all claws, front and back, be clipped
prior to judging.
Grooming
spaces:
These measure 22 inches x 22 inches x 44 inches.
For
Sale: Sales cages will be available to exhibitors.
TICA rules allow no more than two kittens or one cat benched
in a single cage. No kitten under 3 months of age will
be allowed in the showhall (be prepared to show proof
of age). NO KITTENS OR CATS MAY BE CONFINED TO CARRIERS,
EITHER DISPLAYED OR UNDER CAGES, DURING SHOW HOURS. Any
person disregarding these rules will be asked to leave
the show.
Kittens:
All kittens entered for competition must be at
least four (4) and not more than eight (8) calendar
months old on the day of the show. Kittens may be
spayed or neutered.
Household
Pets: Household pets are very welcome at this show!
Declawed Household Pets are OK at TICA shows. This is
due to the number of HHPs that are rescue cats and may
have already been declawed at the time of rescue. Household
pets over 8 months of age MUST be spayed or neutered.
Supplies:
Cat litter will be available, but please bring your
own litter pan and food and water dishes! Each entry
will be assigned a single cage, approx. 24" X 26" X 24".
The two sides, back, and top must be covered. For the
comfort of your cat(s), please bring something for the
bottom of the cage too! People food will be available
in show hall.
Clerks:
If you would like to assist with clerking duties, indicate
on the summary form. We require 6 head ring clerks each
day (reimbursed $35 each day clerked). Clerks also receive
lunch and a fully marked catalog.
Awards:
Rosettes will be awarded in accordance with TICA show
rules.
Parking:
Free show hall parking will be across the side street
and behind show hall.
Loading dock will be available, but NO PARKING will be
enforced. Let's not use the small front lot designated
for the Chamber of Commerce. The loading area in the back
will be available for loading/unloading inside the building.
NO
SMOKING WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE SHOW HALL OR LOBBY.
This
show is closed! Thanks for your support!!
