Show
Hall: Hotel Corpus Christi, Ballroom, 601 North Water
Street, Corpus Christi, TX 78401.
Show Hotel:
Omni Bayfront, 900 North Shoreline Blvd., Corpus Christi,
TX 78401; PH# (361) 887-1600.
Rooms are $88.00 per night plus tax with "no pet deposit".
Please mention "The International Feline Showcase"
to get block rate. The Omni is less than 10 minutes from
the Corpus Christi Airport, and offers free shuttle service
to and from the airport.
Please be sure
to confine spraying males (and females!) & clean up
after yourself and your cats so we will be welcome here
again. The International Feline Showcase has elected to
follow the TICA
Hotel Room Inspection Procedures for exhibitors who
lodge at the show hotel. Entry in this show, and lodging
at the show hotel, shall constitute an acknowledgment by
and consent of the exhibitor to these procedures.
Please make
every effort to leave your room in the condition it was
found, or better. Tipping housekeeping staff doesn't
hurt - happy housekeeping staff don't complain to management!
Trash bags (& litter) will be available for your convenience.
If you have a problem you can't take care of yourself, please
let show management know and we will do whatever we can
to help. The condition of your room reflects on the entire
cat fancy, and it only takes one mishap to lose a hotel
(even a whole chain) forever.
Transportation:
American, United, and Southwest fly into the Corpus
Christi Airport (CRP). As stated above, the show hotel offers
free shuttle service to and from the airport. Other options
are flying to Houston or San Antonio and driving to Corpus;

San Antonio.

Show
Rules: TICA show rules will be strictly enforced. By
entering, exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of
the judges and show committee. Official show rules, registration
information and forms may be obtained from TICA,
P.O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551 or viewed on their website
at www.tica.org.
Payment:
By entering the show, you agree to pay all fees whether
you attend the show or not. Fees must be received no later
than the closing date of December 9, 2013. The club reserves
the right to require payment in cash or money order. Entries
belonging to exhibitors on TICA's Temporary or Permanent
Suspension lists will not be accepted. The International
Feline Showcase will pursue any debt owed us to the extent
of TICA show rules and state law. Payments can be made by
check, money order, or PayPal. Our PayPal account is TIFSCC@AOL.com.
Registration:
With the exception of cats competing in the Preliminary
New Breed, Advanced New Breed, and New Traits classes, registration
with TICA is not necessary to compete in the cat's first
show. However, to be scored for TICA titles and Regional
/ International awards, all cats must be registered by their
second show. Please contact TICA
for registration forms and information (TICA, P. O. Box
2684, Harlingen, TX 78551).
Health:
This is a nonvetted show. Any cat showing signs
of illness, parasites or fungus will be escorted from the
show hall, along with any cats owned, housed or augmented
by the same exhibitor. All entries should be vaccinated
against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calici, distemper
(panleukopenia) at least 21 days prior to the show, and
should test negative for feline leukemia and FIV (feline
AIDS). Be prepared to show proof of rabies vaccination.
It is state law. TICA show rules require all claws,
front and back, be clipped prior to judging.
For
Sale: Sales cages will be available to exhibitors.
Kittens:
All kittens entered for competition must be at least
four (4) and less than eight (8) calendar months old
on the day of the show. No kitten under 3 months of
age will be allowed in the show hall (be prepared to
show proof of age). Kittens may be spayed or neutered.
Household
Pets: Household pets are very welcome at this show!
Declawed Household Pets are OK at TICA shows. This is due
to the number of HHPs that are rescue cats and may have
already been declawed at the time of rescue. Household Pets
8 months of age and older MUST be spayed or neutered.
Supplies:
Cat litter will be available, but please bring your own
litter pan and food and water dishes!
Benching:
Each entry will be assigned a single cage, approx. 24" X
26" X 24". The two sides, back, and top must be covered.
For the comfort of your cat(s), please bring something for
the bottom of the cage too! TICA rules allow no more than
two kittens or one cat benched in a single cage. NO KITTENS
OR CATS MAY BE CONFINED TO CARRIERS, EITHER DISPLAYED OR
UNDER CAGES, DURING SHOW HOURS. Any person disregarding
these rules will be asked to leave the show. If you are
bringing your own cage, you must pay for an even
number of single benching spaces.
Refreshments:
People food will be available in show hall. No Outside Food
Allowed. Supreme and / or Birthday cakes are OK.
Grooming
spaces:
These measure 22 inches x 22 inches x 44 inches.

and Stewards: Ring Clerks will be paid $35.00 per day
and provided lunch and a fully marked catalog. Stewards

on the Summary Sheet if you are interested in serving as
a Ring Clerk or Steward (or have a child interested in being
a Steward). Do not deduct clerking fees from your entry.
Requests for specific judges will be honored to the extent
possible. Currently licensed TICA clerks will be given preference.

Hurley.

Rosettes will be awarded in accordance with TICA show rules.
